Rare and important Chinese Export Ginger Jar of medium proportions, late Nineteenth, early Twentieth Century, complete with original firm fitting cover.
Exquisitely hand decorated in colours of various greens and iron reds on a very unusual gilt ground.
Condition: Good condition for such an early piece with no losses to porcelain, possibly never used. Base mark as shown. Back and front views are similar.
Height: (entire jar an impressive) 7.5" (19cm). Width: (at widest) 7.25" (18.5cm).
